March GLOSSYBOX 2012

Yay!! It finally arrived!! My first Glossybox. After a 2 week wait for my "lost" parcel, it arrived safely in my hands. I am glad i got to experience getting this gorgeous box before it no longer exists here!

If you haven't already heard, Glossybox Australia has merged with LustHaveIt! to provide a better beauty box and wider range of brands. So, after my April box, i will be receiving a LustHaveIt! box. I am looking forward to see how they will improve things, and getting more samples from more brands, however ill be sad that i wont be receiving the lovely Glossybox.

On the topic of lovely, the Glossybox packaging is just that! The actual box it is sent in is gorgeous, pretty to look at without even opening! However when you do open, you get the pretty pale pink box (which is quite sturdy and perfect for any type of storage, and the colour goes perfectly with my room!)
After opening, you see the black tissue paper wrapped nicely with the pink ribbon and sealed with the Glossybox sticker. After carefully unwrapping you get the products!
On top is the product card, which tells you the theme of the month (March being staying fresh and vibrant with an active lifestyle), and on the back the list of products. The only thing i don't like about this is that it shows all of the possible products you COULD HAVE received, not just the ones you DID receive. This could evoke a bit of jealousy if there is something on there that you may have wanted, but didn't receive. However i am quite pleased with the products i received this month.

First was a 10% discount card for zanui.com.au, which i may have used, however, it expired today, the day i received my box, as it had sat in Sydney for 2 weeks! Oh well, money saved!

The first beauty product in my box was The Body Shop's Chocomania Body Butter sample. I was so excited to see this after watching TheStyleDiet's (Anna) video on this range HERE. (if you don't already know who she is, check her out!)
I cant wait to slather this on me and smell like heavenly chocolate!

The next products i received were from Eau Thermale Avene. I got the Gentle Milk Cleanser and the Gentle Toner, which are both for dry and sensitive skin. These are quite generous sample sizes at 50ml each, the perfect size for traveling. These both smell really fresh and clean and seem like they would be really moisturising on the skin. I'd like to use these to compare them against my trusty Clinique 3 step System.

Then i received the Klorane Extra Gentle Dry Shampoo with Oat Milk. This i am excited to try! I have been using Batiste for the past few years, as it has always been cheaper than Klorane, and it has been doing the job fine. It will be interesting to use this and compare the differences! Again this smells really fresh and clean.

Lastly for the beauty products is Thin Lizzy Cream Concealer. I might be wrong, but this looks like a full size. If it isn't, it is a pretty decent sample size! I swatched this on my hand quickly, and from first glance this is a bit dark for my skin tone, especially now we are heading into winter. The consistency is really creamy and thick, and it blended really well onto my hand. It seems it would be really easy to work with. Its just a shame its too dark! Them smell isn't too bad, not too strong or overpowering (to me it smells like warm paper that has just come out of an office printer! I'm sure I'm not the only one that knows that smell! Its not bad though, does anyone get this? haha!)

The last product in my box i don't really understand. Its not a beauty product, so i don't really see why it was included, considering this is a BEAUTY box. Anyway, it is a hot pink Power Balance bracelet. I'm not too sure on how these work, if they do.

Overall, i am quite happy with the box and the products. Although i had difficulties receiving it, and paying for my next box, it was really nice. Hopefully the merge with LustHaveIt! will solve some of these problems.
I really want to try Bella Box next, and am interested to receive the LustHaveIt! box and compare the two.

If you would like to subscribe to the LustHaveIt! box, click HERE. At $14.95 per month, it can be a really great deal with the brands they have on board. Definitely worth a try!

I hope you enjoyed my first proper blog post, and stick around for more!

xoxo,

Lauren
